Welcome to our Community

Nextdoor is a free and private social network for neighborhoods. On Nextdoor, neighbors create private websites for their neighborhoods where they can ask questions, get to know one another, and exchange local advice and recommendations. If you are a homeowner in Wynfield, Please join NextDoor at this link: https://goo.gl/taZRzt

Thousands of neighborhoods across the country are already using Nextdoor to:

  • Find trustworthy local resources, such as babysitters, plumbers, and dentists
  • Report suspicious activity and local crime
  • Organize neighborhood events, such as garage sales and block parties
  • Get assistance in finding lost pets and missing packages
  • Sell or give away items, like an old kitchen table or bike

Nextdoor’s mission is to use the power of technology to build stronger and safer neighborhoods. The inspiration behind Nextdoor was to give people a social network to connect them to one of the most important communities in their lives – the neighborhood. Nextdoor believes that when neighbors start talking, good things happen.

Our neighborhood Wynfield Townhomes is part of a larger private online network called Nextdoor Mountain Brook. On this free, private, invitation-only web site provided by Nextdoor the site can only be accessed by login and password https://nextdoor.com/login/ Outsiders can not be a member of our Nextdoor web site. You must be an owner in the neighborhood so this web site is private and only for our neighborhood and surrounding neighborhoods.

Some have already asked why we can’t have or own private Wynfield only Nextdoor site and the Nextdoor free service needs neighborhoods of 300 or more. This is the reason why the Nextdoor is called Nextdoor Mountain Brook. In the Mountain Brook neighborhood, there are 362 homes that could be members.

The greatest benefit to Nextdoor is that is can be a forum for neighbors to share community events, recommendations, items for sale, crime reports, ideas about how to improve our neighborhood, and more.  I think everyone in the neighborhood will benefit from this free service.
